Robots in the Classroom

As a teacher with over 20 years of experience with teaching small children, Clair expressed deep concerns about using AI in the classroom.

This turned into a discussion of a larger issue: the purpose of education. I claimed that the existing system is geared toward the mass production of workers and consumers. This is an empty vision of society as "an economy" rather than composed of happy, fulfilled individuals. I see that as the basic distinction between the conservative agenda and the socialist agenda.

It will take us a while, maybe generations, to re-think "education".
